During this course I've learned several things and reinforced others. For example, complex fractions is been a theme which mathematics has constantly been referred to but however I had never completely understood it because I hadn't had a formal class about it, also the rules of exponents where new to me. Everything has been really interesting, but my favorite topics were algebra and factorization. Besides the fact that I had previously seen them, I really like those topics by the way you have to analyze and solve.
I also learned that there are several ways you can take a class, like the flipped classroom. I really liked that way of working because I could take only the notes I wanted and answer immediately, as well as if I had any doubts while doing the hw they could be easily solved.
I would say that I have an area of opportunity in working faster in the class, maybe in order to be more efficient I should concentrate better. But when I do, I think I do a really good job. Another thing I would like to do better is pay more attention to the dates and assignments in the cover page of my module so I can study previously to my quizzes and exams.
A project I liked a lot was the one in which we had to make a flowchart, because for that we needed to explain the processes we had learned. By making this flowchart I felt I did the best review I had done, because by showing myself all the possibilities, testing it and explaining the different processes I could have a better idea of how to analyze a problem and factorize it according to its composition.
If I were to make any recommendation to a new student to this course I would tell him/her to be very organized and avoid having distractions to be concentrated in the explanations given, to take notes and pay a lot of attention in formulas. Also do never forget to print your modules because they are very important, also give every work and hw on time unless you want to have a lot of problems if you ever need to repeat your modular exam.
A special tip if him/her would study with my teacher, take seriously when the teacher explains a common mistake because she is right and there is a reason why its called COMMON mistake, also please don't forget to look at the first page of your module and ask every question that is necessary.
